Welcome to the Southwest Florida Real Estate Investors Association (“SWFL REIA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, registering for events, purchasing memberships, using our services, or participating in any SWFL REIA activities, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Membership
Membership in SWFL REIA is offered to individuals and businesses interested in real estate investing, education, networking, and related activities.
Membership benefits, pricing, and offerings may change at any time without prior notice. Memberships are non-transferable and may not be shared with non-members.
SWFL REIA reserves the right to deny, suspend, or terminate membership at its sole discretion for conduct deemed disruptive, unethical, unlawful, or contrary to the organization’s mission.
2. Educational Purpose Only
All information, presentations, discussions, reports, videos, webinars, meetings, courses, and materials provided by SWFL REIA are intended solely for educational and informational purposes.
SWFL REIA does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, or other professional advice. Members and attendees should consult qualified professionals before making investment or business decisions.
No content provided by SWFL REIA should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, invest in, or finance any specific asset, property, security, business, or investment opportunity.
3. No Investment Advice or Securities Offering
SWFL REIA does not sponsor, endorse, guarantee, or verify any investment opportunity presented by members, speakers, sponsors, vendors, or attendees.
Participation in any investment opportunity discussed at SWFL REIA events is solely at the participant’s own risk.
Nothing on this website, in our meetings, or in our communications constitutes an offer to sell securities or a solicitation to purchase securities.
4. Event Participation
By attending SWFL REIA events, meetings, workshops, networking functions, webinars, or other activities, participants agree to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
SWFL REIA reserves the right to remove any attendee without refund for disruptive, inappropriate, abusive, or unlawful behavior.
Event schedules, speakers, locations, and topics are subject to change without notice.
5. Media Release
By attending SWFL REIA events, you grant SWFL REIA permission to photograph, record, livestream, or otherwise capture your likeness, voice, image, or participation.
You authorize SWFL REIA to use such media for marketing, promotional, educational, and business purposes without compensation or additional approval.
6. Membership Content and Intellectual Property
All SWFL REIA content, including videos, presentations, reports, market data, member resources, training materials, website content, graphics, logos, and downloadable resources are the property of SWFL REIA or their respective owners and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Members may not:
- Share member-only content with non-members.
- Record or redistribute member-only presentations without permission.
- Reproduce, sell, republish, or commercially exploit SWFL REIA content without written authorization.
Violation of this section may result in membership termination and legal action.
7. Data and Market Reports
SWFL REIA may provide market reports, foreclosure reports, eviction reports, code enforcement reports, probate data, and other datasets.
While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or reliability of any data.
Users acknowledge that public records and third-party data sources may contain errors, omissions, or delays.
All use of provided data is at the user’s own risk.
8. Third-Party Links and Resources
SWFL REIA may provide links to third-party websites, vendors, sponsors, speakers, or service providers.
We are not responsible for the content, services, policies, or practices of third parties. Any dealings between users and third parties are solely between those parties.
9. Payments and Refunds
Membership dues, event registrations, sponsorships, advertising purchases, and other fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
SWFL REIA reserves the right to evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Chargebacks initiated without first attempting to resolve the matter with SWFL REIA may result in membership termination and collection efforts.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SWFL REIA, its officers, directors, volunteers, employees, sponsors, affiliates, speakers, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:
- Participation in SWFL REIA activities.
- Reliance on information provided.
- Business or investment decisions.
- Networking introductions.
- Real estate transactions.
- Use of SWFL REIA websites, reports, or resources.
Participation in all activities is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
11. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless SWFL REIA, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from their participation, conduct, business activities, investments, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
12. Privacy
Any personal information collected through memberships, event registrations, email subscriptions, or website interactions shall be handled in accordance with SWFL REIA’s Privacy Policy.
SWFL REIA does not sell member information to third parties.
13. Email Communications
By registering for events, subscribing to our mailing lists, or becoming a member, you consent to receive email communications regarding events, educational content, membership benefits, updates, and promotional announcements.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lee County, Florida.
15. Changes to These Terms
SWFL REIA reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website and become effective immediately upon posting.
Continued use of SWFL REIA services, membership benefits, websites, or event participation constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
